November, 2002
Raising of 0.20 million date palms
April / May, 2002
Procuring of about 30 million local date seeds (Phoenix Sylvestris) through order from Gandhi Sevagram, Dahanu, Maharastra, INDIA . Gandhi was a strong advocate of 'Neera' (Palm Sap) and Palm Jaggery as antidotes for malnutrition and poverty.

Supply of 4 million seeds to District Collector, Mahaboob Nagar District for distribution to farmers

Supply 3 million date seeds to Sri C. Muthyam Reddy, Hon'ble Minister for Civil Supplies sowed in fields, along tank and field bunds, and road margins in villages of Dommata Assembly Constituency in Medak district of Andhra pradesh state, India .

Distribution of 22 million seeds, date palm saplings to the farmers of Medak, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Mahaboob Nagar districts in a largely attended public meeting on ‘clean and green’ program day (3 rd Saturday of every month) of the state government at Sadasivpet of Medak district, 50 kms from Hyderabad city. Supplied around 3,000 dollar palm (fishtail palm/caryota urens) seedlings to farmers in the meeting. Distributed around 100,000 - a truck load of borassus palm seeds

Distribution of one million date palm seeds to tapers of Nalgonda District and 150 condom boxes for placing at toddy shops in villages to facilitate anonymous picking on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi - Father of the nation.

Seminar with wine dealers, excise officers on AIDS at Hyderabad city for Distribution of 125 condom boxes for placing in wine shops to facilitate anonymous picking and promotion of different kinds of palms.

Gathering around 100,000 borassus palm seeds from nagilla tope and supplied free of cost to Maharashtra state forest department for sowing in public and private lands, buildings. 80% of them germinated and growing as seen from the photo graphs and feed back reports sent.

Locating and cutting of a portion of inflorescence from selected dollar palm at Sri Venkateshwara gardens, kompally for testing its reaction to different media for the purpose of tissue culture. A first of its kind attempt and crucial for its food source promise.
